Service Description

6-week learn and move program for perimenopausal and menopausal women, led by Dr. Sarah Rainey-Smithback, PhD Women’s Studies, Certified Personal Trainer (NASM), Menopause Movement Coach (Menopause Movement), and Trauma-Informed (Hope Ignited). Weekly group workout: Saturdays 10:00 a.m. @ Swan Creek Metropark Weekly peri/menopause lesson and discussion: Tuesdays 5:30 p.m. @zoom The workouts: The “Bootcamp” focuses on the movement foundations: resistance training (weights, resistance bands, bodyweight), balance and flexibility, and plyometrics (jumping!). These movements are essential to feeling good through menopause and late into life! Each week Dr. Sarah will lead an interval workout, and will guide participants on proper form, breathing, and techniques. Saturdays 10:00am : May 30, June 6, June 13, June 20, June 27, July 4 The education: Knowledge is power! Each week participants gather for a lesson and discussion about peri/menopause on zoom. Weekly topics: Menopause 101: What is happening (May 26) Menopause history and social perspectives on menopause (June 2) HRT (June 9) Managing menopause symptoms (June 16) Nutrition (June 23) Get ready for “the upgrade” (June 30)

If you need to reschedule or cancel a session, please do so with at least 12 hours notice, and we can reschedule. Anything less, there will be no refund or “make-up” for the missed session.
